Le GIEC appelle à la nomination des auteurs du septième rapport d'évaluation
Par la présente, nous invitons les expert.e.s de la recherche, les utilisatrices et utilisateurs potentiel.le.s et les praticien.ne.s à poser leur candidature pour la désignation d'experts chargés de coordonner les auteurs principaux (Coordinating Lead Author), les auteurs principaux (Lead Author) ou les réviseurs (Review Editor) pour les trois principales contributions des groupes de travail au septième rapport d'évaluation du GIEC (AR7) :
- le groupe de travail I, qui traite des fondements scientifiques du changement climatique ;
- le groupe de travail II, qui traite des impacts, de l'adaptation et de la vulnérabilité ;
- le groupe de travail III, qui traite de l'atténuation du changement climatique.
Les grandes lignes des contributions des groupes de travail au RE7 ont été élaborées à l'issue d'un processus de cadrage exhaustif impliquant la communauté scientifique et les gouvernements, et ont été approuvées en séance plénière lors de la 62e session du GIEC, en Chine en février 2025. Le GIEC précise : « Des centaines d'experts du monde entier dans différents domaines scientifiques consacrent bénévolement leur temps et leur expertise à la production des rapports du GIEC. Les équipes d'auteurs reflètent un éventail de compétences scientifiques, techniques et socio-économiques. Les auteurs principaux coordonnateurs et les auteurs principaux sont chargés de rédiger les différents chapitres des contributions des groupes de travail au septième rapport d'évaluation et, avec l'aide des réviseurs, de les réviser sur la base des observations formulées au cours des deux cycles d'examen par les experts et les gouvernements. »
La nomination est envoyée par le point focal luxembourgeois du GIEC du ministère de l’Environnement, du Climat et de la Biodiversité. Si vous souhaitez être pris.e en considération pour une nomination, veuillez suivre les étapes suivantes :
- Remplissez le formulaire de nomination pour le groupe de travail approprié et sauvegardez-le sous votre nom_prénom_[nom du rapport, par exemple, WGI]. Vérifiez que vous avez rempli tous les champs obligatoires, comme indiqué par un astérisque (*).
- Fournir un CV au format pdf, ne dépassant pas 4 pages, et sauvegardé sous nom_prénom_cv
- Jusqu’au mercredi 2 avril 2024, envoyez votre formulaire de nomination et votre CV à ipcc-lu@mev.etat.lu. Veuillez inclure dans le texte de votre courriel votre pays de résidence et le pays de votre activité professionnelle (si celui-ci se trouve dehors du Luxembourg, afin de pouvoir informer et coordonner avec le point focal national du GIEC).
La sélection finale revient au bureau du GIEC.

IPCC calls for the nomination of authors for the Seventh Assessment Report
We hereby invite research experts, potential users and practitioners to apply for appointment as Coordinating Lead Author, Lead Author or Review Editor for the three main working group contributions to the IPCC Seventh Assessment Report (AR7):
- Working Group I, dealing with the scientific basis of climate change;
- Working Group II, dealing with impacts, adaptation and vulnerability;
- Working Group III, dealing with climate change mitigation.
The outlines of the working groups' contributions to the AR7 were drawn up following an exhaustive scoping process involving the scientific community and governments, and were approved in the plenary session at the 62nd session of the IPCC in China in February 2025. The outline can be consulted on the IPCC website: Decision IPCC-LXII-8.

The IPCC states: “Hundreds of experts around the world in different scientific domains volunteer their time and expertise to produce the reports of the IPCC. Author teams reflect a range of scientific, technical and socio-economic expertise. Coordinating Lead Authors and Lead Authors are responsible for drafting the different chapters of the Working Group contributions to the AR7 and, with the help of the Review Editors, revising those based on comments submitted during the two rounds of reviews by experts and governments.”
The nomination is sent by the Luxembourg IPCC focal point of the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity. If you would like to be considered for nomination, please follow the steps below:
- Complete the nomination form for the appropriate working group and save it as surname_name_[report name, e.g. WGI]. Check that you have completed all mandatory fields, as indicated by an asterisk (*).
- Provide a CV in pdf format, no longer than 4 pages, and saved as surname_name_cv
- By Wednesday, April 2, 2024, send your nomination form and CV to ipcc-lu@mev.etat.lu. Please include in the text of your e-mail your country of residence and the country of your professional activity (if outside Luxembourg, so we can inform and coordinate with the IPCC national focal point of the other country).
Final selection rests with the IPCC Bureau.
